NO-GO
Basic principles of Islam
Nationalism contradicts the basic idea of Islam. In Islam, a person's race has no significance, because this is given by Allah and no one has any influence over where they were born or what color their skin is. All people are equal in the eyes of Allah and a distinction is only made in the fear of God.
Today's national borders and state flags were imposed on Muslims by Western colonial countries such as England and France. They were intended to fragment Islamic territory and divide Muslims both geographically and emotionally. Islam vehemently rejects this division. We are a community with a single conviction and the same emotions.
Our beloved Prophet (s.) excludes Muslims from the community in a hadith if they go to bed full while their neighbors are starving. Thus he (s.) said: "Whoever goes to bed full while his neighbor is hungry is not from us!"
Isn't the world today like a village? How can we go on with our lives as normal while we know that just a few hours' flight away, Muslims are starving and dying of thirst by the hundreds of thousands? It is our children who are dying there. Our mothers who are suffering there and our brothers who are being killed there.
The Muslim is obliged to stand up for the good and fight the bad, whether with his hand, his heart or his tongue. We have no states and no lobby to stand up for the interests of Muslims. We must therefore make good use of the methods available to us. If we cannot fight injustice, we should at least publicize it and spread it everywhere.
We Muslims must not obey any person or authority if they call us to sin. It is irrelevant whether the command comes from parents, the employer or a state. Disobedience therefore always becomes a duty for the Muslim if carrying out the act would lead to a sin with his Creator.
Allah says in the Quran that saving one life is like saving the whole of humanity. Every Muslim should therefore do his best to help his brothers and sisters in need, be it through protest actions, through education or through his money. Every Muslim has to make the best use of his opportunities.
A Muslim may not carry out or support any bad actions. He makes himself an accomplice if he supports or allows a sin. He cannot be friends with enemies of Muslims, nor can he tolerate or support their actions. The individual Muslim should not carry out any actions that lead to the strengthening of enemies. This can be avoided, for example, by not buying products from countries that are hostile to us Muslims. At state level, Muslims are not permitted to allow Western military bases in their countries.
Entering into alliances with enemies who actively fight our brothers and sisters is a great sin and therefore forbidden. Allah warns Muslims against taking them as protectors and says that those who do so are among the disbelievers.
Muslims must not make peace with people who fight other Muslims, because this would mean betraying and abandoning one's brothers and sisters.
The killing of innocent human life is one of the greatest sins and is strictly forbidden in Islam. Allah threatens those people with eternal hell in the hereafter. Accordingly, it is also a great sin to help a perpetrator to kill Muslims, whether by granting overflight rights, military bases, logistical support, etc.
